Cambot Robot Final Rig

https://youtu.be/iPDnwyvoc50

This Cambot Robot was rigged in maya 2015. First a skeleton is added for the legs, body, face, neck and eyes. Next control curves are created for the movement of the joints which in turn will move the respective body parts. Each curve was constrained to the skeleton of the robot first. Then each each joint was constrained to the respective body part in a way the body is supposed to move. Lastly grps are made of each curve except the the curve which controls the root joint; and then each curve is constrained to the group of the next curve that it should move.

Domino Effect 2

https://youtu.be/Oz9bf6514Lg

This animation is similar to domino effect 1 except the stacks are different from each other.
Domino Effect 1

https://youtu.be/L8SZtQ2s57g

A plane, number of cubes and a ball are made and set up. The cubes are places as dominos in a particular path. The ball and cubes are made as active rigid bodies and the plane is made as a passive body. Gravity is applied to all the cubes and the ball. The rigid body has an attribute of moving it with speed in a particular direction which is given to the ball so it hits the first cube and that cube hits the second and so on.

Basic Lighting

https://youtu.be/EzUHyWYg3gw

This Dining Table model and the lighting both were done in Maya 2018.  First the table, chairs and the ceiling lamp were modelled. Then directional lights were used for lighting at a very low intensity to allow the light to fall on the entire scene and make it appear under normal lighting conditions. 10 light above and 10 lights below the scene were used to give this type of lighting effect.

Bow And Arrow Rig

https://youtu.be/ELvIxri1z88

This is a bow and arrow rig which was modelled in maya 2018 software. First the bow and it's parts were created and then the arrow. Then ctrl curves were added to them and constrained respectively with the help of their respective groups to parts of the bow or arrow which they have to move.

A null group was created and was parent constrained to the arrow control. A new attribute is added for the arrow control curve according to where the arrow is in the in the whole process of being pulled to being left so that it can travel when leaving or moving away from the bow. This new attribute contains 3 sub attributes in it. The main attribute is named Space Switching. The three sub attributes in the space switching attribute are namely :

a.) ARROW
b.)BOW
c.)WORLD

a.) ARROW

This attribute is keyed from the point where the arrow is put in the whole bow frame and pulled along with the string only upto the point where the string is stretched to it's maximum.

b) BOW :

This attribute is keyed from the point where the string is left so it pushes the arrow with speed up till the point where the arrow just reaches the point where the string cannot go more further.

c.) WORLD :

This attribute is used from the point where the arrow has left the entire frame of the bow and arrow and is free to travel to it's target.

Ball Rig

https://youtu.be/KRJwmghTqpo

This ball was modelled and rigged in Maya 2015 Software. A deformer was added on the ball to make it stretch and squash. A control was added on top of the ball and the deformer was linked to this control. This control is used for moving the ball around and also to control the deformer. A master control / center of gravity control is added for the entire ball rig ( consisting of the ball, the deformer and the top control ) so that this control can move the entire rig around if needed.

Ball Bouncing

https://youtu.be/c0vr3iYl0YA

The animation of ball bouncing was done in Maya 2015. The ball was made to stretch and squash to give it an effect of being a realistic and a soft body. When travelling down towards the floor it speeds up. Just before hitting the floor one of the end control curve of the ball is pulled to elongate it. This gives an effect that the object (in this case the ball) is travelling at high speeds. When it hits the floor both the control curves( red in color) are drawn towards each other. This is to show that the body is squashing due to impact on the floor. Lastly when it bounces back up in the other direction one of the end curve is taken and pulled in the direction in which the ball is bouncing and the effect of travelling up fast is given again.
